3rd Semester Fall 2010 Starting

So I slacked off majorly on this blog. I don't know if it's because no one follows me or if it's just because it's another thing to be done. Either way I want to journal or blog I guess about the next step in my journey. I will be start Clinicals this fall. I am scared but ready to get started.

I will be a full time student, which is 12 credits. I originally only had 11 credits qualifying me to still be considered part-time. However in order for me to remain on my mom's health care insurance I must be full-time. I was worried about finding a one credit course or even a two credit on; plus whatever the course was had to fit my crazy course schedule already laid out. Let's just say I have an amazing academic advisor who was able to find a 1 credit course that is online, I only have to show up in person for exams.

I will be taking Medical Terminology (which is the online course), Anatomy and Physiology II, Nursing 101 and 111 which is Nursing lecture and Clinicals. The online course shouldn't be that hard. It will be an easy GPA booster; as long as I don't slack off ( which I don't plan on doing). A&P II should be more challenging but I have been told that it isn't as hard as A&P I so I guess we will see. Nursing Lecture and Clinicals is where my focus will be. It is demanding as well as interesting it looks like. Well at least that is my perspective when I observe what other people have experienced. The big thing I am worried about is giving injections. I enrolled into LGC (Lancaster General College) with the full awareness of my fear of needles and giving shots. I have been today by a fellow classmate of mine that the instructor I have for Clincals will work with me and help me. This was a relief to hear.

I will post again closer to when school starts; which isn't that far away. August 23rd is creeping up faster than I thought.
